User agreement

By creating an account or tapping your way through this app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you don’t agree, that’s okay — but you can’t be a Protagonist here.

Protagonist is a goal-tracking and accountability experience powered by financial commitment, daily proof, and AI coaching.

We give you a structure. You do the work.

(Think of us as your narrative guide, not your therapist, doctor, or shaman.)

You must be 18 or older because:

• There’s real money involved, and
• Your hero’s journey requires adult-level autonomy.

You’re responsible for your login info and everything that happens under your account.

Don’t share your password. Don’t be weird.

Protagonist sometimes asks for financial commitment — your skin in the game.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

By entering your payment info, you authorize us to charge your selected method for fees, deposits, or renewals tied to your plan.

If you don’t follow through on your commitments, some or all of those funds may be forfeited.

This isn’t punishment. It’s the psychology of accountability.

Refunds are granted only when required by law or at our discretion.

Your progress must be proven through daily submissions.

Our AI reviews your proof. Most of the time it’s right; sometimes you may disagree.

If so, you can dispute it — a human will review.

Our final decision is, well… final.

Submitting fake, altered, or fraudulent proof is a fast track to account termination.

(And truly, it’s not very Protagonist of you.)

You agree not to:

• Fake your proof
• Try to trick or bypass verification
• Use the app for illegal or harmful activity
• Create multiple accounts to game the system
• Interfere with the app or its users

If you violate these rules, we can suspend or terminate your account - which would be a waste of everyone’s time, including yours.

We built the structure.

We offer tools, support, and accountability.

But we can’t guarantee results — because your results depend on you.

(Which is kind of the whole point.)

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Protagonist isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:

• Lost funds from forfeits
• Lost opportunities
• Inaccuracies in AI verification

We would like to take full credit for the transformation you experience but to be fair, no matter how much we help - that’s actually all on you.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll post the updated version.

Continued use of Protagonist means you accept the new rules.

Evolution happens. Heroes adapt.

These Terms are governed by California law.

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration (except small claims court).

Translation: we settle things privately and efficiently, not in a courtroom.
